Fr. Robinson's Message 3/22/26

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We are now beginning the fifth week of Lent, and very soon we will enter Holy Week. Let us take advantage of this week to strengthen our commitments for this season. Let us draw closer to the Lord and examine our consciences to renew our baptismal promises at the Easter celebration. Let us allow God to continue speaking to us through His Word: let us meditate on the daily readings at Mass (many have the booklet with the readings, or you can consult them online). I encourage you to participate in the various activities we have at the parish during Holy Week and to invite friends and family to these beautiful liturgical celebrations (see the schedule here).

During this week, we will have several events. I would like to highlight two: on Friday, March 27, at 6:30 pm, we will have the bilingual Stations of the Cross, as we do every Friday of Lent. This time, our young people will be representing each station with shadows. Let us support them and join together in prayer as we walk with Christ toward Calvary. The second event will take place on Saturday, March 28th. We will have a spiritual retreat in Spanish, led by preacher Obadari Rey, who is coming from Mexico. 

I would also like to renew my invitation to all parishioners to complete the Disciple Maker Index (DMI) survey. Three years ago, this survey helped guide our parish and led to concrete steps toward a more vibrant faith community; now we have the opportunity to reflect on how we’ve grown and where the Holy Spirit may be leading us next. You may access the survey here, where you will also find an explanation. Printed copies are available after Mass at the church entrances and may be placed in the collection basket or returned to the parish office. We have already received more than 700 responses, and I hope to reach 1,000. A special note for those who previously attended St. Stanislaus: when asked how many years you have been in the parish, please include your years prior to 2022. Your voice matters, and your participation helps us continue growing together as missionary disciples.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas, 

Estamos ya comenzando la quinta semana de Cuaresma y muy pronto nos adentraremos en la Semana Santa. Aprovechemos esta semana para afianzar nuestros compromisos de esta temporada. Acerquémonos al Señor y examinemos nuestra conciencia para renovar nuestros compromisos bautismales en la celebración pascual. Dejemos que Dios nos siga hablando a través de su Palabra: meditemos las lecturas diarias de la Misa (muchos tienen el librito con las lecturas o se puede consultar en internet). Los animo a participar de las distintas actividades que tenemos en la parroquia durante la Semana Santa y a invitar a amigos y familiares a estas hermosas celebraciones litúrgicas (vean los horarios aquí). 

Durante esta semana tendremos varios eventos. Quisiera resaltar dos: el viernes 27 de marzo a las 6:30 pm tendremos el Viacrucis bilingüe, como cada viernes de Cuaresma. Esta vez nuestros jóvenes estarán representando cada estación con sombras. Apoyémoslos y unámonos en oración al caminar con Cristo hacia el Calvario. El segundo evento tendrá lugar el sábado 28 de marzo. Tendremos un retiro espiritual en español, dirigido por el predicador Obadari Rey, quien viene desde México. ¡Los esperamos el sábado!

También deseo renovar mi invitación a todos los feligreses para que completen la encuesta Disciple Maker Index (DMI). Hace tres años, esta encuesta ayudó a orientar a nuestra parroquia y dio lugar a pasos concretos hacia una comunidad de fe más viva; ahora tenemos la oportunidad de reflexionar sobre cuánto hemos crecido y hacia dónde el Espíritu Santo puede estar guiándonos. Pueden acceder a la encuesta aquí, donde también encontrarán una explicación. Habrá copias impresas disponibles después de Misa en las entradas de la iglesia, y las encuestas completadas pueden depositarse en la canasta de la colecta o entregarse en la oficina parroquial. Ya hemos recibido más de 700 respuestas, y espero llegar a 1,000. Una nota especial para quienes asistían anteriormente a San Estanislao: cuando se les pregunte cuántos años llevan en la parroquia, por favor incluyan los años anteriores a 2022. Su voz es importante, y su participación nos ayuda a seguir creciendo juntos como discípulos misioneros.
