Fr. Robinson's Message 5/18/25

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Over the past few months, I have been meeting with registered parishioners to solicit their support for the Generation to Generation capital campaign to build a new parish hall that can strengthen our community. The meetings have been very positive, with time to ask questions and listen to one another. These meetings have also allowed me to meet many of you who would have been more difficult to reach otherwise.

I want to express my gratitude to all of you who responded to the request to meet and to the many of you who have already made your pledges. Our parish's original goal is $795,000 for a five-year period. However, as you all know, our actual goal is $5,000,000 so we can have the building. I want to report that as of April 30, we have received pledges totaling $1,584,690, which is almost double our original goal. From this moment forward, the money from the pledges made will remain entirely in the parish and will be used for the new building. I encourage all those who were waiting for us to reach 200% of our goal to make their pledges and place them in the Mass collection baskets or bring them to the parish office.

We still have almost two months to complete our first step in raising funds for the building. I will continue to meet with parishioners after Masses or in the office, and we will also make the appeal during Masses at the end of June. I thank you for the great efforts you are making for the good of this parish community. Together we are demonstrating the love we have for our church and the fact that we believe in the mission being carried out here in our parish. Thank you for your trust and support, for your patience, and for your sacrificial generosity with this project that will bring great blessings to our community and all those who in the future will benefit from the decisions we make today.

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas,

Durante los meses pasados, me he estado reuniendo con los parroquianos registrados para solicitar su apoyo a la campaña capital De Generación a Generación con el fin de construir un nuevo edificio que pueda fortalecer a nuestra comunidad. Las reuniones han sido muy positivas, con espacios para hacer preguntas y escucharnos unos a otros. Estas juntas me han servido también para conocer a muchos de ustedes que de otra manera hubiera sido más difícil lograrlo.

Quiero expresar mi agradecimiento a todos aquellos que han respondido a la solicitud para reunirnos y a los muchos de ustedes que ya han hecho sus compromisos. La meta original que le corresponde a nuestra parroquia es de $795,000 por un periodo de 5 años. Sin embargo, como todos saben, nuestra meta real es $5,000.000 para que podamos construir el edificio. Quiero reportar que al 30 de abril hemos conseguido compromisos por $1,584.690, lo cual representa prácticamente el doble de nuestro objetivo original. A partir de este momento, el dinero de los compromisos que se hagan permanecerá totalmente en la parroquia y será usado para el nuevo edificio. Animo a todos aquellos que estaban esperando que llegáramos al 200% de nuestro objetivo para que hagan sus compromisos y los depositen en la colecta de la Misa o los lleven a la oficina parroquial.

Todavía nos faltan dos meses para finalizar nuestra primera etapa en la consecución de los fondos para el edificio. Me seguiré reuniendo con los parroquianos después de las Misas o en la oficina, y también haremos la solicitud durante las Misas al final de junio. Les agradezco los esfuerzos grandes que hacen por el bien de esta comunidad parroquial. Entre todos estamos demostrando el amor que tenemos a nuestra iglesia y el hecho de que creemos en la misión que se está llevando a cabo aquí en nuestra parroquia. Gracias por su confianza y apoyo, por su paciencia, y por su generosidad sacrificial con este proyecto que traerá grandes bendiciones para nuestra comunidad y todos aquellos que en el futuro se beneficiarán de las decisiones que tomemos hoy.
