Fr. Robinson's Message 5/3/26

Dear brothers and sisters,

On Friday, May 1, Bishop Mark Bartosic confirmed 90 of our parishioners. We joyfully congratulate these young people who have completed their sacraments of initiation in the Catholic Church. I encourage them to persevere in faithfully following the Lord and to place their talents and their lives at the service of our parish community. Do not drift away; rather, allow God to speak to your hearts, listen to His invitation to mission, and let yourselves be continually encouraged by the Holy Spirit toward conversion and a sincere witness to what He has been accomplishing in your lives.

I invite their families and all parishioners to pray for these young people and to accompany them with support and closeness as God opens new paths before them. May we all be agents of unity, peace, and fraternity in this local community, also making space for young people to raise their voices and share with us God’s desire for their lives.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the entire Religious Education ministry, including its coordinator Brenna Baker, assistant Ana Olvera, and all the catechists and teachers who week after week have faithfully accompanied these young people on their journey of faith. May God bless your efforts and your witness, and may the work you have planted bear abundant fruit in these newly confirmed youth.

I also thank all the members of the liturgical ministries who gathered on Saturday, April 25 for our assembly. It was a beautiful opportunity to share different perspectives on the Eucharist, to gather at table together, and to interact beyond linguistic and cultural barriers. I am very proud of everyone’s openness and courage in allowing the Holy Spirit to continue pouring out His grace upon our parish community.

Finally, I warmly invite all our parishioners to attend the Mother’s Day Kermes, which will take place on Saturday, May 9, from 5 to 11 pm. This will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our mothers together as a parish community. I am deeply grateful to the group of parishioners who organized this committee, which will host various events to continue raising funds for the new parish building. Their enthusiasm and creativity encourage us all to continue supporting this beautiful project that is still underway. We look forward to welcoming you this Saturday in the school gym to celebrate our mothers.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas,

El viernes 1 de mayo, el Obispo Mark Bartosic confirmó a 90 de nuestros parroquianos. Felicitamos con alegría a estos jóvenes que han completado sus sacramentos de iniciación en la Iglesia Católica. Los animo a perseverar en el seguimiento fiel del Señor y a poner sus talentos y sus vidas al servicio de nuestra comunidad parroquial. No se alejen; por el contrario, permitan que Dios les hable al corazón, que escuchen su invitación a la misión y que el Espíritu Santo los anime constantemente a la conversión y al testimonio sincero de lo que Él ha ido obrando en sus vidas.

A sus familiares y a todos los parroquianos, los invito a orar por estos jóvenes y a acompañarlos con apoyo y cercanía en el camino que Dios va abriendo ante ellos. Que todos podamos ser agentes de unidad, paz y fraternidad en esta comunidad local, dando también espacio a que los jóvenes hagan oír su voz y nos compartan el deseo de Dios para sus vidas.

Quiero expresar un sincero agradecimiento a toda el área de Educación Religiosa, incluyendo a su coordinadora Brenna Baker, a la asistente Ana Olvera, y a todos los catequistas y maestras que, semana tras semana, han acompañado fielmente a estos jóvenes en su proceso de fe. Que Dios bendiga sus esfuerzos y su testimonio, y que la obra que han sembrado dé abundantes frutos en estos nuevos confirmados.

También agradezco a todos los miembros de los ministerios litúrgicos que nos reunimos el sábado 25 de abril para nuestra asamblea. Fue una hermosa oportunidad para compartir distintas perspectivas en torno a la Eucaristía, para convivir en la mesa y para interactuar más allá de las barreras lingüísticas y culturales. Me siento muy orgulloso de la buena disposición de todos y de su valentía al permitir que el Espíritu Santo continúe derramando su gracia sobre nuestra comunidad parroquial.

Finalmente, invito cordialmente a todos nuestros parroquianos a participar en la Kermés del Día de la Madre, que se llevará a cabo el próximo sábado 9 de mayo, de 5:00 a 11:00 p.m. Será una preciosa oportunidad para celebrar juntos, como comunidad parroquial, a nuestras madres. Agradezco profundamente al grupo de parroquianos que ha organizado este comité, quienes estarán realizando diversos eventos para continuar recaudando fondos destinados al nuevo edificio parroquial. Su entusiasmo y creatividad nos animan a todos a seguir colaborando con esta hermosa obra que continúa en proceso. Los esperamos este sábado en el gimnasio de la escuela para celebrar a nuestras madres.
